If we could teach kids communications skills like this then how much more would they wish to learn?

Vendors don’t get it

Dennis Howlett wrote an interesting piece about a Cisco hosted event and the cluelessness of some presenters. Some teachers are little better. I know some who are terrified of SMS messaging. Why? I’ve no idea. Others don’t know what an mp3 player is. Haven’t they heard of iPod? And God forbid that anyone should mention the idea of pupil created podcasts as a learning device.

Polar bears and penguins

How many people know that polar bears and penguins live in separate hemispheres? If you didn’t exactly know that but were asked the question, like me, you’d maybe try and build a mental picture of such an event. I couldn’t muster one up. But not according to some GCSE resources.

Good to know our erstwhile fact checkers continue to do a sterling job.

The obligatory ‘Hello World.’ Oh well, ‘Hello World. How are you?’

I’m not really the lead author on this site but I built it for my brother so he could have a crack at this medium. Who knows, it might even get an audience. It might even get updated from time to time. We’ll see. But in the meantime, I’ll seed it with a few articles to get things going along.
